BLM or more correctly Police Brutality and Abuse, and overall Discrimination....

I have no problem emphasizing or recognizing that black people are victims of police brutality, abuse, and discrimination, as well as that by society in general. But I firmly believe and know that these problems aren't exclusive to black people. I support the movement, but not its name or the focus on it as if black people are the only victims. While race is a huge correlation, with black people being most affected, the affected group transcends race and is characterized by traits that transcend race and make for a distinct group. Biological phenotype relating to influence of testosterone in one's makeup and personality combined with socioeconomic class are what distinguish the group, not race. Making the issue race-specific fails the opportunity to unite a distinct group and create cohesion that transcends race. This also leaves a portion of the victims left out, which is absolutely wrong and disgusting. This hurts everyone affected, including black people, by not having a more united and therefore larger uprising to make for change. The lack of recognition or emphasis of the characteristics that are discriminated against, which is far more than just race, also fails everyone from better understanding the problem. That said, as far as the destructive and violent rioters. They were and are necessary to make for change. The peaceful protesters alone would not have been a voice screaming loud enough from the unheard. Period. Yes, some of then destructive, violent protesters don't even know fully what they are in it for and some are opportunistically taking advantage and using the issue for a stimulating, chaotic, and perverse form of fun, but they are necessary! One must understand their energy is coming from somewhere and that everything happens for a reason. As for innocent cops and others being killed or hurt - there will be casualties in any war. Also, the innocent cops especially, aren't exactly innocent. They knew what was going on but weren't speaking up for fear of intimidation, (anti)social ostracizing, or worst of all, an honor code. This is a systemic problem within police culture, including in formal code and policy, and isn't really different from the same characteristics in gang culture or that of "snitches get stitches". I believe the term for this is dyssocial sociopathy, or at least tendencies thereof. I must also say I actually incorrectly held our police to higher esteem even though recognizing that there's a huge problem. I am surprised to see just how severe and widespread the problem is, as demonstrated by the bad officers protesting the protesters with even more police brutality and abuse, all while in the public view more than ever! But that is good, because they are showing their true colors, validating the movement to those who literally were ignorant and unaware of the extent of the problem, and making it a lot easier to weed out the bad cops. Change is happening! Officers are being fired or otherwise facing consequences left and right. They've escalated to abusing and using excessive force on middle class white people, including reporters, nurses and other medical workers, college students, innocent bystanders, and even other LEO's and politicians they didn't realize were! All that said, what I am most impressed with is the genuinely good cops speaking out. That is something I've never seen before. It's amazing. And I do not mean the false panderers, be clear on that.
