I worked at a grocery store in high school as a cashier/bagger (yes, I know, quite glorious), and quickly became friends with the man who managed the floral department. He's very clearly gay, though not in a way that obstructs the dignity of others.
Anyway, about ten years ago I realized I was, and still am, bisexual, and the first person I came out to was him. (Let's call him Kevin.)
Kevin's shift is 9:00-5:30. This particular morning I had written a note addressed to him admitting to my bisexuality, and I traversed the 35-minute walking distance between my then-apartment and the store at which he works (and I once did). This was before his shift, so I ended up having to pass on the note to one of the women working the customer service desk. I included my phone number so he and I could continue communication.
Later that day he texts me, letting me know he appreciates me trusting him as being the first person I opened up to and that he fully supports me in all future romantic and sexual endeavors.
Since then I've opened up to two of my closest friends. They don't quite understand, though. I'm still too scared to tell my family...

You don't have to tell anybody unless you're ready. Or you don't have to tell them at all.
