Due to a lovely stroke of luck, I had found myself suffering shallow cuts in a dire situation. All I had to disinfect my injury was a soap dispenser in a toilet, and some tissue to wrap it in.
I’m just wondering why i saw some weird brown bits/liquid separate from my stream of blood as I applied the soap on my cut.
I definitely did not get any debris or dirt of the sort into my injury, so I did not know what it was. Was it dead neutrophils or something else? Maybe a dead layer of skin that the soap dissolved? Because the discharge wasn’t abundant and was purely brown/consisted of brown parts.
I’m just curious, as using scented soap dispenser (the ones you would find in toilets) on a wound isn’t usually an occurrence you’d normally see. I searched online but I’m not sure on the answer.
Would anyone happen to know the solution to my unbridled, insatiable curiosity? Or am I too dense to understand?

Had the blood started to dry before you applied the soap?
ReplyNo, it was still fresh and blood was still oozing out of my wound whilst I applied the soap.
