Always felt everything is foggy. Always felt like there is more to enjoy. Always wondered how am I not able to enjoy the things everyone enjoys and find pleasure in, and instead indulge in meaningless activities. I was diagnosed with ADHD and I suddenly realized why everything felt very weird and synthetic. It all made sense. The dots connect. And I realized, there is a reason for what I'm feeling.

How to confront a BFF
My BFF says things like "she just loves love attention", and "she has to be different", and "it's always a competition", and "...
That is good that you found the cause.
ReplyI understand. Even if nothing's different, everything changes, because now there's a reason, and it's not your fault. There's a reason, and there's other people who feel like this, and there's a valid reason you are the way you are.
So I understand the relief of realizing there's an explanation. I also have adhd, and while I got diagnosed when I was in elementary school, I keep finding new parts of it that explain the way I act. Have you heard of rsd? I've known I have adhd for years, but I just recently found out a new symptom of it (rsd). And it's weird, but discovering a new thing that's wrong with you is almost relieving, because now there's a REASON, and it's NOT something wrong with you, but a part of a disorder you have, and you're validated. And while I've never been officially diagnosed with anxiety, I believe I have it, and when I finally recognized that, it was oddly relieving. Because then I knew why I felt the way I do, and I knew that these feelings didn't mean everything was wrong, because I have ANXIETY! And it's not my fault!
So I'm really happy you've been diagnosed. And from one spacey individual to another, I wish you the best of luck.
