So I have a peach tree in my yard. I frequently eat peaches from it.
This story may or may not be a little triggering so stop reading if you’re sensitive to this stuff.
Once I bit into a peach from the tree and found a bug crawling around the pit of the peach.
Ever since then, I have been terrified to eat food without inspecting it first.
Like on multiple instances, I’ve found bugs in my food. It just makes me so anxious. I don’t want to hurt them, and I’m a vegetarian so I’m already pretty sensitive about eating animals including bugs.
So now I inspect my salad before eating it, I only cut open fruits, I inspect the outer and inner parts of pasta, etc before eating anything.
And it sucks because there’s always so many flies and random bugs in my house.
I’ve already struggled with eating enough but this whole-afraid-of-bugs-in-my-food makes things worse. The thing is I’m not irrational, I’ve had multiple instances where bugs have been in my food. So like I don’t believe anything can solve my fears except for thoroughly inspecting food before eating. :///:

Buy insect spray and spray all flies and bugs in your house. Years ago there was a Maori who had people around to his place for a meal. It was night time so the lights were on and people were sitting around the table eating when one guy said, "I can see something moving in my food!" The Maori jumped up from his chair, turned the light off and said, "Now you can't." So if you see any bugs at night turn the light off and then you won't see them.
