I've started college about over a month ago and it is just so stressful. But the stress is not what I want to talk about. I take Cambridge A-Levels, but the thing is, I'm not one of those smart people in high school who were basically destined for A-Levels. And my classmates are all so much more smarter than me.
During the exams, I do so much worse than everyone and I just don't know how to deal with my bad grades.
My father said I should look back at my paper and identify my mistakes. I want to, but at the same time, I don't. I'm just so ashamed of my bad grades that I can't even stand looking at them. Recently I did exam and my lecturer posted the results online. But the thing is, I'm so afraid of my results because I know I did terrible.
I just don't know what to do. I'm too afraid of even looking at my past mistakes and I feel like I just want to end things.

Replyyoooo, failing is a hard thing to come to terms with, but there comes a point where you just have to acknowledge them for what they are. I understand, it can be embarrassing and may feel pointless at times, but it just takes that initiative sometimes of you looking back and reviewing it; it's how you get better! see where your weak points are and go from there! don't be ashamed of your mistakes, you're human, it's okay. Study, study, study. It's time-consuming, for sure, but your hard work will pay off.
I'm talking like it's easy, I understand how hard it can be to find motivation. school is not only difficult, but it's stressful, especially in college because you're learning how to be a successful member of society. just take your time! seriously. check in with yourself, like you did here. It's good to do that:) keep working at it! academics don't come easy, it takes time and effort. may I suggest having a study group? at least someone to help you review your work? It could be beneficial to have someone to help you out.
hey, school will get better, just keep working at it! life isn't easy. I'm proud of you!
ReplyI understand how you're feeling. I know how everything feels like it piles up and you just get so overwhelmed and want to shut down. You're not alone in feeling this way. Try to take it one step at a time. Know that you do have the ability to keep going! Maybe you could reach out to a friend to help? We are living in really hard times right now, take it easy on yourself. Practice self care and take breaks as needed. It's okay to need a break. You're doing amazing no matter what anyone says!:)
ReplyI believe in you
