My Unsent Letter

A night to remember

He was the the literal light of my world. He made me feel like I was alive. Not just alive, but actually living. One night, I messed up really bad. I called him bawling, i felt so pathetic. My entire life I've been called over dramatic, too sensitive, etc. He was the only one who never said that. He assured me that my feelings were valid, and that its okay to feel things. He was so understanding and we stayed on the phone for hours. When the call seemed like it would come to an end, i apologized for my previous behavior. He said, "I already told you, it's okay. I love you." I lost it. My perception of love before that was just so shattered. His words pierced through layers and layers of what seemed like cement. I am forever grateful for that man. He taught me how to breathe, how to live, and how to love. I hope you never forget me because I will never forget you. I love you.
