This is not to be biased, it is a sincere look at what could come for our news stations in a post Trump era.
Here's a very sincere question for you to contemplate; what would happen to viewership if what they're saying right now is correct?
It look at it another way, us it possible that the media is playing you and everyone else right now?
Let's be realistic here. This isn't just some conspiracy theory. It's been 4 years of whirlwind Trump hate, every single day. What are they going to do once they don't have that to generate clicks no more?
Covid is and has been wearing on people as is, plus vaccines are just around the corner. So what happens?
With Biden being a "boring" president and the virus coming to a close, there won't be anything left for them to sensationalize.
Reverting back to prior ways isn't going to work either. Prior to Trump, the media was dead in the water.
So I ask you again, is it possible that they are just playing people, letting them think Biden has won, just for the clicks? I'm certain they don't wanna lose all that viewership.
It's an honest question and it makes me wonder what kind of impact all of this will have, either way it goes.
Either they're lying to everyone and they'll get 4 more years of Trump bashing every single day, or they're being honest for the first time in a long time and their life expectancy won't last beyond 2021.
Unless Biden starts another war or something.

Just a little political
Well here we are, Joe Biden has won the race. I won't get into whether I support him or not, that's not what this is about. This is about the effect it has h...

I think Biden has won because now Trump has 500 signed afidavits going into the courts to fight this.
ReplyI'm not questioning the politics behind it, I'm questioning what comes after for our news stations and if they would purposefully manipulate information.
Bear in mind, Biden is NOT president elect. That won't come until December 14th.
Which could EASILY attract TONS of viewership if things don't go the way some believe it to be.
Plus they get the added bonus of 4 more years of daily videos, if I'm correct in all of this. But without it, they've got maybe 6 months to figure out how to stay afloat in a post-Trump environment.
ReplyWhy are Trump followers preoccupied with the media? That isn't a dig. I am legitimately curious. The media has always been biased in one way or another, but only Trump supporters make a big deal of it and I'm not sure why they even give it any attention.
ReplyWho says I support anyone? Assuming makes an ass out of you and me.
I'm interested in what the media will do because they are our biggest corporate enterprises outside of mega corporations like Walmart and McDonald's.
The ramifications of them sliding back under could result in more bailouts, affecting taxpayers. Or it could lead to their extinction, in which social media would like be next in line.
Which is something that is already inherently dangerous as is. Many high positioned tech employees have even raised red flags about the power of social media, including Twitter and Facebook. Outside of just a political spectrum to boot.
It comes down to how we are fed information and who gets to determine what information we are exposed to. Just as it is with current news media.
I know that may be a bit complex, so if you need me to explain it further for you, I can. Or you can just keep screaming that I'm a Trump supporter if it makes you feel validated
ReplyTrump supporters and a lot of moderates are preoccupied by the media because they control the information that Americans hear and know about. The media decides whether or not, for example, people should hear about a possible cure for covid based on whether or not the media thinks its in their best interest to inform the public about such things. The media decides whether or not they should post some of the good things that politicians do, because they would rather post about the bad things politicians do. If a politician announces a major change in policy, for example free cookies for everyone, its the media that gets the word out depending on whether or not the media wants people to have free cookies, even if presumably most people would want to /need to hear about such things.
