So we've all pretty much heard of SpaceX by now. After all, you're talking Elon Musk territory.
I hadn't invested too much into it but just recently I had found out that they've been able to launch and land a booster 7 different times.
Sure, it doesn't seem like much but consider that NASA hasn't managed to do it once as far as I know (I could be wrong, I haven't kept up with NASA missions for a while either)
But it's kind of exciting to think, 4 missions into outer space in 1 month, 7 missions with just one reusable booster.
Given the context, I wouldn't hesitate to say we will probably be exploring Mars on foot in a couple decades, maybe less.
It would be reasonable to think that if these missions continue to be successful, it wouldn't be too far fetched to start thinking about the potential of mining asteroids and getting our resources through that.
It's a fun concept and it's entirely within our grasp. We just gotta get everything built to do it. Within the next 100 years, we could likely colonize Venus just as well.
It's been a while since I had something that grabbed my attention so forgive me, I'm just barely catching up.
