Hello!
Me and my boyfriend both decided to separate recently. He has family problems and is taking SSRI antidepressants. He was distant, always moody, we didn't talk much and I couldn't do anything to help him.
The other thing that constantly bothers me is that I don't know whether I did wrong by breaking up. It's quite selfish, but what would happen if his condition go wrong?
Do you have a relative, friend or so struggling with this condition? Have they stopped taking antidepressants?

ReplyI take back my first comment
ReplyIt was probably a smart move to break up. I say this because I have severe depression and I've been through several relationships that ended the same way... my partner can't help me and we end up becoming distant like you described. When this happens, there is no way to return to the happy love you might've had in the beginning. At that point the relationship is broken. So it's not selfish to break up with him, it's smart for both of you.
