Am I in the wrong?

(WARNING: POLITICS AND CORONAVIRUS, AND BAD GRAMMAR SORRY I SUCK AT GRAMMAR)

I was always taught to not let political opinions get in the way. But I try not to do that. Instead I look at what people believe. I have gotten into arguments with people online before, but today I got mad at a classmate.

Actually, no 2 classmates. They were talking about covid-19 and treating it like it was not a big deal. I had already had a bad day (I actually wrote on here earlier about it) and was really upset. You see, I'm smart at some things but controlling emotions is not what I'm good at. So, I ranted. I stated my opinion angrily. I felt bad, because they were like, "DONT COME AFTER PEOPLE FOR OPINIONS." And it is my fault for screaming at them, but they're so stupid! I'm trying to apologize for it and here's what I said, can someone say if it's alright? Alright, here it is:

"Okay maybe I was in the wrong for being a bit rude and I'd like to apologize for that. It was a bit unnecessary. Sorry for that. My day was bad, but that doesn't make me angrily making a comment any good. I try not to, but I get quite upset when it comes to controversial topics."

I just don't know if that's really good, but I don't know what else to say.
