I have chronic hives that come every other day if I am not on Zyrtec. I've literally been like this since age 13, I am 19 now. I thought the hives would be gone forever when they went away for about a year, but now they have been back for months. My doctor thinks that either my stomach lining is torn again, I am just stressed, or both. But all I know is I am really uncomfortable. I have to try not taking Zyrtec sometimes to see if what I am doing works. So, I am wide awake at 5 Am because I can't sleep for some reason. Now, I am also super itchy because of these horrid hives all over my legs, back and randomly other places. Uuuuhhhgg, I never want to take the periods when I didn't have chronic hives for granted ever! This sucks!

I knew someone who had hives regularly from stress. To solve the problem, they went directly to the source, communicated their stress and its impact on their lives. Luckily, this person was very kind despite being perceived as unkind. (It's a long story.) The point is that the hives went away.
I don't know if you are in a similar situation where you can do that, but meditating to relieve the stress may help if you are not already trying those things. Meditating takes time and training though. You can't just do it once and then you're done. Even if you are doing it every day, I would still wait a few months before going off the Zyrtec to test it.
Hope you are asleep by now. Take care!
