I've been watching ASMR and sometimes sleep listening to it. And it made me so sensitive of every sound one move makes.
So, if you're a fan of ASMRs too, try to lessen listening to it or just completely stop. And don't sleep with your earphones/headphones/air pods on. Even if you just listen to music or podcast. You might end up like me.
Paranoid of sounds.

ReplyFirst time I have heard of this, I hope you will find a way to de-escalate this phenomenon.
ReplyI think you may be describing sensory overload.
ReplyI do get irritated of loud noises and sometimes even the slightest sound of wind blowing. I'm uncomfortable at night because walking sounds or drinking (my mom always drink water at night) bothers me so much, that I find it hard to sleep. If I do get to sleep, I constantly wake up and hear the bark of a dog 4 blocks away from our house. And there are also times when I fail to interpret sounds, and it scares me. It's not totally anxiety but idk.
