Hope

Hope, such a simple word. Hope, with such a complex meaning, story, sound. Hope, the thing that keeps me alive. Hope the sound of our people. Hope the freedom in our voices. Hope is there for you and for me. Hope will keep you alive when all you want to do is die. Hope the thing no one sees but we all feel. Hope the thing that gives us meaning and fights for equality. Hope is here in spirit and in physical form. Hope the reason we all need to take a breath and step back. Hope, the thing we spark in others and ourselves that keeps everyone going and rowing the boat to get to the other side: kindness, equality and love. We must love hope because it loves us, it’s the energy we need to make dreams a reality. Hope, what gives our words meaning and what has us be heard. Hope, in me- in you- in the grass and in the trees. Hope in the air all we need is to breathe it in, smell the sweet, taste the air, breathe, calm yourself down and lift yourself up. Hope is here with all of us! We just need to tap into it, we need to tap into our greatness. We all need to become one race, species, tune, sound, noise, we all are one. We are great and kind, we just need to stop being mean. Because it’s a chain reaction, we’re all dominoes, one falls we all do, so please if a bully says “ you’re ugly” or something like that be the better, bigger, stronger person and say something nice such as “ I like your shoes” and I know that it may seem weak or like you’re giving up. Think about how many people you’re saving. Please hear me, know the truth, this truth: YOU ARE NEEDED, YOU ARE AMAZING, YOU ARE LOVED, and not only that but YOU ARE WANTED.
