weight loss

Well one thing that might be being overlooked here is your water intake and the types of fuel you feed your body.
A simple 1500 calorie diet isn't going to be enough to garner much results. So here's a few things I can tell you.
1. Sugars found in fruits are healthy sugars. You shouldn't overindulge by any means, but the added boost to your energy may help stimulate your body.
2. Limiting foods is actually counterproductive. You could think of it this way; if you were to sit and watch the same movie every day, how long would it take before you became bored of it? Same goes with your gut. Diversify your food intake and force your body to not get into a comfort rut.
3. What kinds of exercises are you doing? Your main focus should be on cardio to burn excess weight. Weight training may not be beneficial as you may be forcing your body to burn up newly produced muscles cells, which turns into fat cells. So make sure you're not overworking yourself and listen to your body.
4. Salt, salt salt, the big S word. What kinds of salt are you putting in your body? Are you drinking enough water to balance your salt intake out? Your body requires a certain level of salt to properly function and without it, you can have adverse health reactions up to and including heart attacks. If you're ingesting too much, it can accumulate in the body and add "water weight".
5. Don't try to lose weight in specific areas of the body. This is a fairly common mistake that people make. So if you're doing exercises that solely focus on your stomach, glutes or legs, that could be a contributing factor to the issue.
Overall, make sure you're eating at least 5 different colored vegetables every day, whole grain is best if you HAVE to have bread, try to get 2 or 3 different fruits in your system every day, maintain a healthy fiber, hydration is key (I cannot express this enough), cardio is your best friend along side full body workouts, above all, be patient.
You've already been doing this for a year so it might be easy to get dismayed and fall out. Don't! Make some adjustments here and there, and keep pushing. Also make sure you're eating enough to accommodate for those exercises too, starving your body will just burn any muscle you build as well.
Hopefully this information will be helpful, just as a warning I am not a weight loss specialist nor am I a professional trainer. So take my advice at your own risk.
