Gleaming in the distance,
Through the tempest,
My eyes agaze
At its shining existence.
I trudge through piercing gales,
Sprint above sharpened stone,
And limp slowly towards the light,
Hoping to end my ails.
I manipulate my muscles to slowly crawl
Using what strength remains to touch the glow.
I clasp it with my battered bones,
And at last, hear my curtain call.
Heavy in my hand it sits,
As I clasp it in my palm.
The shining chrome is blinding,
Doing my bidding if it insists.
As I sit and stare,
I feel the cold bite on my fingers.
I raise the heavy object.
A sole tear falls from my eyes,
As I place the cold, Steely barrel, to my head.

If you are suicidal please consider calling your local suicide hotline. They are kind, non judgemental and will check in on you the next day.
ReplyI don’t know if this will do anything, especially coming from a stranger. But you are not alone, you are loved and you have support at the tip of your fingers, all you need to do is ask. You are strong and you are brave and you are powerful and you have the determination to fight against whatever you are going through. You will get through it.
