...religion is special.
I don’t practice it. It hurts innocent people. Christians say they love everyone and then curse people in LGBTQ+.
They guilt people going for abortions.
They make their children feel unsafe and not good enough.
THEY TELL THEIR CHILDREN THAT THEY WILL GO TO HELL FOR SOMETHING THEY CAN’T CONTROL.
...Religion is a prison.
And I’m glad I escaped.
You can’t tell me I walked away from Christ.
How can you walk away when it’s something you’ve always kept your distance from?

Before you go bashing Christians they're not all alike. Also that's totally your choice if you want to be lgbtq. I can love you just the same. It's really nothing to me it's what God's word says. You take it up with Him not anybody else.
Reply...I am not “bashing” Christians, and I’m sorry if I come off that way.
Second of all...No one can “choose” to be LGBTQ+.
Third of all, I’m not taking it up with God, because I don’t believe in him. Never really have. And that’s my choice.
I respect religion, but I am merely talking about those who use it as an excuse to be bigoted.
ReplyYour choice. But your aggressive manner and tone speaks for itself.
ReplyI’m just an opinionated person. I apologize if I come off as aggressive.
ReplyReligion is man made. Nothing divides like religion. For no other cause does man kill with such zeal than for that of religion.
A man who walked the earth 2000 years ago gave us a simple message; no religion required. Yet...
Courtesy notice: the following includes a reference to a book that contains writings over 2000 years old which are mostly parables about human nature, both vile human nature as well as moral human nature, parables that are meant to teach us to learn and grow. No religion required, and better yet: no public displays of devotion required. Some bullies will label this "trolling", so "change the channel" now if of no interest to you.
Matthew 22:36-40
A. Love God first and foremost.
B. Love your fellowman second.. as you love yourself.
Replyl believe in the second statement, not the first. I apologize.
ReplyIt's your God given free will to believe what you want; man and his corruption is what has stolen the free will of countless souls throughout the centuries past. At least you believe in love. Best of luck.
Why do we have so much faith in love, something we cannot prove exists, something we cannot hold, sell or buy, something no scientist anywhere on earth will find in an autopsy next to the last meal we had or alongside the disease that ravaged us.. the love we have for our romance, our mom, brother, sister, child, pet, country, spouse, etc. Why do we have so much faith in love, to the point we're willing to die for it, or for lack of it?
John 4:8
Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
Reply...Interesting insight. But we can prove that love exists. Brain scans show this fact.
ReplyScientists do not fully understand the human brain beyond synapses, neurons and where the brain activity related to human activity/"emotion" xyz is concentrated, based on the areas of a brain that light up on a brain scan when activity/emotion xyz is experienced. This is simply the physical/biochemical reaction of "love" and is similar to how blood rushes to your genitals when you get aroused, serving a purpose - in you to give you an erection; in women to make them "wet". It's all by design.
Love is more than an emotion; love is a force that moves us to exist without destroying the free will and lives of others, a force that moves us to make sacrifices for others, a force that is the root of a long list of emotions we feel, a force that moves us to compose art in the form of music, poetry, paintings. Love is what we all have in common, like air, water and sunshine. Love is a unique experience to us all...like our DNA, fingerprints. And as you see all around the world - the opposite of love is hate, which drives people to commit atrocities.
Yes - nobody is going to prove God exists. It's called faith for a reason, it's a journey, not a light switch.
ReplyNot all Christians are like that.
ReplyNo, no they aren’t. Only some are. And I know that. :)
Replysame, it's hard to believe in a religion that will send you to hell for liking who you like, my mom used to beat me when i came out in 6th grade, and since then it's been hard being around christians. I've never really believed in God, i like the idea of reincarnation more, idk why.
ReplySame!
ReplyReligion is just a form of expression - to express faith, much like artists and musicians use paintings, sculptures and music to express love, faith, pride, etc. Unfortunately in some parts of the globe religion is a form of government thereby stealing free will from its people. I mean - if you have to pray or die, the choice is simple, although artificial.
ReplyYes. I wish that Religion stayed as a form of expression.
