So that's what this all is to you, huh? You look out at the world and all you see is race, gender, religion, sexual orientation and so forth?
Is that all you care to see? That someone might not care about these meaningless labels and thereby offend you? As if you've become this one dimensional character of just this one aspect and this one aspect is the only thing that matters out of the entire whole that is you?
Have you lost so much esteem to think yourself so low? Have you ever pondered exactly how you got here? Some mismanaged idealization of what this world "should" be vs what it is?
Do you ever see the things that have changed at all? Or do you cling so dearly to that which you base yourself around? Why? Don't you know there is so much more to you than any of these labels combined?
What exactly is the point of trying to bring balance to a world when so many seem so stuck on such shallow things? Do we not seek to evolve here any longer? Are things so good that there has to be ANYTHING bad? Just to counterbalance the reality that 500 years ago, people like you and me would have absolutely nothing to our names.
Yet here we are today, we live lives most kings of old couldn't even fathom. Yet we are ungrateful, because it doesn't match this idealized notion of what should be.
So we must therefore destroy it, burn it to the ground and bask in it's embers as we seal our own fate as a species.
We must run head on, into that great filter so eagerly awaiting us. To put an end to this thing we call existence. Because so many have gone blind to who they really are, sl many choose to embrace hatred for the namesake of fighting what they see as hatred.
We cannot leave well enough alone. Things must be a set way or we just shouldn't exist at all. We should have peace and everyone should be happy and no one should ever hold any notion that conflicts with that of any vocal minority.
Yet do so, the rules have to constantly change, giving birth to chaos. Eventually the practices become cannibalistic and when there's no one left to feed on, the focus shifts to the next minority, then the next, then the next. Like a viral plague, sifting it's way through the minds of humans as they struggle to validate their own existence. With the eventual reality that there is no justification.
That humans have always fought and killed and died and suffered and ostracized and ridiculed and judged based on every conceivable notion that would be so shallow such as skin color, religion, financial status, familial status, creed, gender, sexual orientation and yet nothing remains to be derived from all that sacrifice.
No, we must repeat the sins of our past in order to cleanse our conscience. To hold one up and drown the other, to say one is right and the other is wrong. To say that only these people deserve to be saved while condemning the rest.
Yes, we shall gleefully sprint to that great filter, to our inevitable destruction, to a human-less planet.
Perhaps viruses will be our apprentices in the journey to spread and conquer space, colonize other planets, to go to the depths of oceans unknown, to bring forth a true display of dominance and mastery.
We were just the catalysts all along. Set to be our own destruction so that some other species could do what we refused to do. To put the labels behind, all of them. Not just some, all. But we can't do that, because we are the most intelligent species on this planet and yet we are simultaneously the most stupid.
