And it's the only CHOICE that gets government protection. They get exceptions to rules all the time. Rules say no hats. Oh but my imaginary friend says I have to wear this hat! Well I guess we gotta let you because your fear of your imaginary hell trumps the rules everyone else follows. It's bullshit. I saw one bitch complaining that her job requires pants and a striped shirt, but her religion commands she wear a long skirt. And she gets away with breaking uniform standards because Jesus. It's bullshit! I would do everything I could to manage that troublemaker right out the door. I'd give her the filthiest, heaviest liftingest, climb up a ladder jobs I could find until she had enough and quit on her own, because for some reason you legally can't fire someone for breaking uniform standards if they "sincerely believe" they'll go to hell if they wear pants. What a stupid belief, what stupid laws. How about, if you have to wear a skirt, DON'T APPLY WHERE THE UNIFORM IS PANTS. Duh?? You just want to make trouble at that point.

Where to share
Hi, i was wondering where I could share or explain some of my religious beliefs with others and also learn about theirs. Even if they are non-religious I would...
I think everyone can wear what they wanna wear. Why does clothing matter?
ReplyA uniform is a uniform. If you don't like the uniform, don't work there. If you have to wear a special religious hat where other hats are banned, you shouldn't be allowed to if no one else can. You're just a troublemaker looking to get around rules.
ReplyWhy not just let the person wear a skirt? It's not that deep. But like also, I'm a Christian and God is completely fine with women wearing pants and shorts, he just likes to keep modesty in mind.
ReplyBecause I worked for four years in an environment where I couldn't wear jeans. Even though it's my "sincerely held belief" that I should be allowed to wear denim trousers everywhere I go, it still doesn't count because I don't think some deity said it, and that's wrong.
ReplyI worked at a place for four years where I couldn't wear jeans to work. Even though it's my "sincerely held belief" that I should be allowed to wear denim trousers everywhere I go, it doesn't count because I don't think a deity commanded it, and that's wrong. Why can't they just let me wear jeans?
ReplyIt's jeans. I don't think that's really part of a religion and kind of silly.
ReplyIt's *my* religion. Jeans are sacred clothing to my sect. How dare you say otherwise?
ReplyThe amount of hatred, damn. Treat people how you want to be treated. If i were to travel to a Muslim country, I wouldn't want to to be forced to cover up because of their rules. If I were to visit india, wouldn't want to be forced to wear a turban because their religions says so or else they'll kick me out of their country. Just as I shouldn't be forced to do something I don't believe in, I can't demand other to disregard their beliefs and do what I say. What I believe in is my choice but it is a right of every human being to comfortably practice whichever religion, wherever they are. And anyone with common sense will stand for that.
