I like this boy in my english class. A lot. I think he might like me back. I got put next to him for our new seats. For the past few days, we've worked together on a project with my best friend analyzing Annabel Lee by Edgar Allen Poe. My friend keeps subtly teasing me (because the poem deals with the theme of love) and asking things like, "Have either of you ever been in love?". Also, we were taking a standardized test a few days ago and he sort of brushed his foot against mine a couple times. He is tall, so it might just be him stretching his legs out. I also see him looking at me a lot. I was thinking of complaining the ringer on my phone isn't working, and asking him to call it because his phone would be an unknown number, and I could get his number that way. Plus, he seems a little shy around me but not with my friend. Does he like me?

My friend and my crush
So.. I've been talking to this one guy... And my friend knows I like him. She has been chatting with him sometimes. She even ranted to him about a problem...
It is certainly possible that he has an interest in you, but do not blow things out of proportion. Sitting next to each other, brushing feet, exchanging glances. These are simple circumstances that romantics tend to believe are attributes of "fate." I was like this all throughout high school, and in the end I was disappointed... every time.
Him glancing at you does stand out. This is the only piece of provided evidence that supports the idea of him being interested in you. Because every expresses their romantic feelings in different ways, I cannot say whether or not he likes you. But you said that you like him. People expect the guy to take the initiative in a relationship. However, no matter who confesses first, they are commended for their determination. So, I advise you be direct about it with him. Either ask him about his feelings or express your own, whichever you are more comfortable with. In the end, you will know the truth.
Plus, being direct is better then sitting and staring as you both wait for each other to make the first move.
