ReplyAll thoughts, including the ones about you not feeling OK, all thoughts come and go. Their arrival does not make them legit, make you their creator, their owner. Some leave almost as fast as they showed up because they got no reaction from you. Those that get your attention will linger and when you add a story and some emotions, they will be your constant companion - staying longer and returning often. This applies to good, bad, preferred, unwanted, helpful, and harmful thoughts.
So, when the bad, unwanted, or harmful thoughts arrive, let them be there in your mind without you judging, forming an opinion, or reacting emotionally. Just observe them - don't add a story. Soon they will dissolve and will be replaced by another thought. If this one is not preferred, repeat the process. Eventually, you have one arrive that you want. Give this one the energy of your attention, imagination, an added story, some emotions, and maybe it will initiate some action from you.
You are not your thoughts. You are not your brain. You are the awareness that has a brain. It is a necessary and very powerful instrument - it is your tool. Using poorly understood powerful tools can be dangerous.
