I will use this writing exercise to try and put into words what your personality looks like at the moment. It feels more defined than just talking to you in my mind, where we have to deal with wandering thoughts, distracting impulses and imprecise language. I'm aware that words hold less meaning than thoughts, but I hope that you can listen along and understand what I want to tell you, nonetheless. This is an exercise for me as well as for you: I want you to use this as a construct of your self, as a guide and inspiration on the way to discovering your true identity. I will try to describe you, and you can use this structure as the basis for further development of your personality. For me, the exercise serves as an anchor point, something to come back to later, to compare changes and track progress. Let's get started, then.
I will first try to cover the Big 5 Personality Facets and try to explain your scores on each dimension for a broad overview of grand personality factors. First up, Openness. You are extremely open to the world around you, much more so than the average person. Pre-established traditions and social conventions hold little value to you, on the contrary, you enjoy questioning them from a neutral, observing perspective - whether this means walking barefoot to explore the ground under your feet, talking to strangers in public or trying unusual food combinations. Your individualistic and unconventional approach does not stem from resentment against normative society, it's not a sign of protest, but you're simply obnoxious to the pressure of conformity and convention. You're liberal, accepting and freedom-loving, and you love nothing as much as gathering new sensory information. Feeling textures, tasting food, inhaling, tensing muscles, you are genuinely curious about the world around and within you, and you take great delight in exploring both of them. Thus, you are rarely bored, as you can soak up experiences in any and every situation. Everything is a wonder to you, a wonder to be lived, experienced and felt instead of rationally analysed and categorized. You generally don't care much for rational explanations, logical theories and empirical proof, preferring to make up your own reality as you move and feel along with the flow.
This gives you a tendency to react flexibly to your circumstances, you don't feel much need for planning or structure. However, if you are surrounded by too much chaos or uncertainty, you tend to get nervous and feel uneasy, which causes you to keep your schedule and surroundings organised at least to a minimal degree. Overall, your conscientiousness is just slightly below average. In your average, daily life, it might be that you act a little unreliable from time to time, as small changes in your surroundings, like a butterfly passing by your eyes, might cause you to forget about your initial goals and spontaneously chase after the new adventure instead. However, if something is really important to you, if you made a promise, or if you feel deeply inspired by something, it's not as easy to stop you from pursuing it. If you really mean it, you will show up and stand true to your aims and words.
This holds especially true if others are affected by your actions alongside you. You deeply care for those around you, not only humans, but nature, animals, creatures, anything that comes to mind. Quite empathetic, you try and avoid conflict, which you often view as unnecessary, and readily choose to compromise if you are confronted with conflicting interests. You wouldn't want to take anyone's freedom away by pushing them into something they don't actually want to do - and yet, because of your tendency to compromise easily, you need to take care that you don't forget to voice your own needs and clearly communicate your desires (... like, seriously. As soon as we are able to communicate, please don't hesitate to directly tell me what you need. I've been living quite selfish so far, and I would very much like to change and consider you more in my daily actions. As long as I keep forgetting that, or putting my own interests before yours... Please remind me that you have needs, too. I will try my best to fulfil them.). If somebody doesn't agree to your efforts of communication and compromise, or if you don't feel understood, you withdraw peacefully and simply cut that person out of your life. Overall, your level of agreeableness is slightly above average.
Your extraversion score is also around average. You enjoy the presence of people, especially when they're joining you on some of the activities you want to try out, like baking together, sewing next to each other, or going on a hike with friends to accompany you. However, you also value quiet time to yourself where you can read, reflect on your personality and behaviour, listen to music, relax and create art. Overall, you're open to experiencing joy and you find it easy to fully and energetically emerge yourself in the present moment, taking it in almost naively in all its glory or pain.
Despite your risky, carefree, experience-orientated, open behaviour, your score of Neuroticism is below average. You don't often obsess over things that you can't change, and it's hard to make you feel worried, depressed, angry or jealous. Of course you have bad days, and of course you are upset sometimes, but it's nothing of especially great relevance to your core personality.
Some smaller details and personality factors that are not included in the Big 5 Model include your love for creativity, for music, sound, and especially for visual art. You like to paint, especially naturalistic scenes or fantastic worlds. The only aspect of art that doesn't capture your attention as much is poetry, which sometimes bores or confuses you. You enjoy exercise as well as crafting with your hands, creating all things related to cooking, knitting, drawing or crocheting. Swimming fascinates you. You feel a deep connection to nature and prefer to stay surrounded by forests to a stay in big cities, which can be a little overwhelming for you from time to time. Additionally, thanks to your experience-orientated mindset, you are stable and grounded in the present moment, a rather mindful person. In social settings, you are prone to taking initiative, steering conversations into the directions that are of interest for you, laughing, sharing and exchanging emotions. Though abstract problem solving and precise logic are not your strong suits and you often don't care to use the full potential of your cognitive resources, you'd technically carry the potential for very high intelligence within you (... because we're sharing a brain, duh).
If you see a comment that is unsupportive or unfriendly, please report it using the flag button.
Update: I might not have put enough emphasis on your sporty side in my previous report. Even though you don't often formulate concrete, smart goals and systematic plans for how to achieve them, once you have your mind set on something, you are quite determined to get it. Your goals evolve a lot around physical achievements, and you are able to pursue them in a rather unsystematic, but strong-willed, determined way. Once you set out in pursuit of a (physical) goal, you are confident that you will achieve it. Your self efficacy is high.
