Why don’t billionaires pay taxes and we destigmatize mental health (leading cause of homelessness), and refund social programs and services. I think we’re on the same side
Reply"It's the millionaires and the billionaires, I tell ya!"
The fact is that, unfortunately, you "tax" these people and it causes what you're seeing right now. Inflation.
Which ends up being just another very real tax on the working class and the poor. A loaf of bread running near what now? $6. Gas prices gone through the roof. Heck, pretty much everything is more expensive and it's killing off even more small businesses. We just had a Dairy Queen close shop for good not just a week ago. Several other businesses have closed shop permanently within the last few months.
But people who live in the suburbs with their cops and their fancy gates communities don't get to see that aspect. They just wanna cry about injustice and the rich.
ReplyI am the poor bro. Prices raise and wages don’t.
ReplyExactly! What these kinds of people won't tell you is that by lessening the taxes on high tier earners (like Trump did) you effectively create a more stimulated economy.
I don't believe in "trickle down economics" per se, but it is very true. If billionaires have more equity to invest, it creates more opportunities and more opportunities leads to better employment rates and opportunities which then leads to more productivity and eventually finding it's way to your local supermarket or gas station where you're paying less than $2 a gallon for gas and can walk out with a moderate amount of goods for $50.
Just for example: before covid struck, my average grocery bill ran around $97. Now, and I mean "now" as in literally two days ago, my grocery bill ran almost $130 for less than I'd normally buy.
In the past, I would buy enough to prep 10 meals. On this occasion, I only purchased enough to prep 5. Half as much for nearly 50% more.
But that's what you get when you play stupid games, you get stupid prizes.
ReplyYou are wrong. They raised prices because they are mad because they have to pay taxes. Rich people do not care about anyone but themselves. They do not understand peoples lives nor what they have been through. Some people were doing good prior to people purposely ruining someone's life which is unfair.
What is wrong with people is they have turned very vain and selfish. Then wonder why there is so much crime and unrest.
ReplyAlso threaten lawyers.
ReplyAlso during Trump ...people lost their rights which he is still trying to control and wonders why no one likes him.
ReplyIt IS the people who supported Trump....The rich of course....the only ones he ever helped....that are raise prices in protest because he lost the election. What a wonderful world we live in...right? The measure of a nation is how well you treat the lowest and during Trump was the worst I saw people being treated in my whole life!!!!
ReplyAlso no one wants the rich to pay more than anyone else just their fair share.
If the rich pay their taxes they still get to eat....cars....all kinds of things. The poor and middle class pay wayyyyyy more taxes and it take food off their table...people with children .....going hungry becaus the rich do not want to pay their taxes. with that kind of unfairness.....who has faith in America anymore? Things should be fair for all.
ReplyEven as true as it may or may not be that they are "angry", it still impacts the economy regardless. Right?
See it for what it is and stop trying to exert your own morality on the situation. You'll find you get a more clear read of the world when you accept it for what it is
ReplyWhat the fuck loaf of bread here is $1.47 here. Maybe you are exaggerating lol.
ReplyDang! What is that like, Great Value or something? No. I'm not exaggerating. A loaf of bread at my local gas station is nearly $6. $5.49 to be exact.
ReplyWelcome to the age of individual over herd.
ReplySimilar to the controlled substance underground market: individuals derive temporary distraction from present hardship. Why do audiences pay to look at these accounts, and why is a woman making over $30,000 a month pretending to be a dog? It could be the audience likes the perceived power of "Hiring out a celebrity" to do their bidding in front of a live audience, drawing attention to the one giving the orders. People have reported premium snapchat accounts before for suspicions of unfiled income, and the IRS did do an audit. For those with less income and social support, DespicableMe's mentioning of mental health struggles is part of it, and those with money may look at the poor and think "Suck it up, champ, fight hard and do not let life take you for granted!" The first support structure we have: The family, and there are broken homes which leave people just as broken. How do we help them? Business might say "Create value in people's lives and they will come back for more." Is disparity built into an economy, the poor must exist for there to be rich people, no mututal abundance? We have a scarcity economy, a barter system of time and power, and it requires dosages of inadequacies to keep people buying and selling. If a prosperity economy is perfected, we may have the foundation from which a better world can grow. If you see a need in the world, you may be the one to develop the plan to fix it. Try it, see if you can help, and others will be grateful you took the time to help.
ReplyThis is to do with the earth's equilibrium (balance).
There is north and south, east and west, night and day, dark and light, hot and cold, deep and shallow, high and low, narrow and wide, quiet and loud, wet and dry, droughts and floods etc. Then with people there is love and hate, black and white, tall and short, fat and skinny, sick and healthy, war and peace, beautiful and ugly, well fed and starving, rich and poor, good and bad, kind and cruel etc. You can't have one without the other. So there can't be the rich without the poor as well.
ReplyCuz they worked for it. Thats a career where alot of money is invested because there are constant audiences. There are people starving w/o homes/support because they didnt make right decisions. Thats sad reality- if you make poor decision you pay for it. Born in awful, poor family? Thats poor decision from your parents at start but if you dont come up with brilliant plan to get out- thats your fault.
ReplyWow I hope you’re a billionaire. Sure hope it doesn’t have anything to do with generational wealth or opportunities in your youth or anything
