I bought 2 Nintendo Switches about a year and a half ago. I got 6 games for them. I was hesitant to buy all this stuff because I knew what would happen. It would get boring and my brother and i would just not play them anymore. Something close to $700 for what would amount to maybe a few months of gameplay.
Well, wouldn't you know it? I ended up being right. I don't touch my switch at all and my brother only uses his to watch youtube in his room. That's the extent of use that they both see.
I'm fairly confident in saying it was a waste. But wait, maybe if I buy more games that I'll never play, that'll fix the problem! No! No more games.
I've been very much against the purchase of any new games. Even on my xbox. Yet on my xbox, I've got Terraria, which I can always get back into. Easily one of the best games in existence. I've got minecraft, but that has truly lost its luster with all the updates and the waiting for them to stop adding new stuff because once you explore an area, that newer stuff won't appear there.
Another big one for me is Cities: Skylines, I am a huge nerd for SimCity style games. Those were among the first games I ever played. So there's some nostalgia attached to it.
I've got tons of other games that just sit there, uninstalled, that I'll probably never touch again. But just having those few games that I can just transition between makes for entertainment, I guess.
I'vetriesd several other games but none come close to what I want to experience in a game. So I just stick with those few and the very rare spur into No Man's Sky.
