My purpose?

I’ve always been the one who’s always been there

For everyone

Always checking in

Always asking how they are

Why?

Because I get it.

I know what it’s like to be in pain

So much pain you don’t know what to do with yourself

So

In the midst of pain I’ve grown empathetic

I vowed to myself I would do everything in my power to help others through the suffering I hate so much

I never want another soul to feel the way that I do

And, I know I can’t fix everything or everyone

But, I feel better knowing I’m trying.

My purpose?

To care

Without being cared for

To love

Regardless if I’m being loved

To hear

Without being heard

To understand

Even if not understood

To exist as a someone for everyone

Unconditionally
