i feel like i’m guilt tripping my friend over and over again and i don’t want to. i hate the way i talk. i feel like i’m super manipulative and i force this person to be my friend because i can’t let go of this friendship. i feel horrible. what are some traits of manipulation and guilt tripping and how do you fix them ? i don’t want to make them feel horrible anymore i hate it so much.

it's good that you know that you're in the wrong. you may not be as bad as you think. I would say cbe honest with your friend about how you feel and ask them how they feel and how you can speak to them better. Listen and be open to what they have to say. Your friendship will probably be better for it! if in the end, they decide they do not want to be your friend anymore, its okay. sometimes people grow apart. I know it's hard, but friends come and go, but the good memories will last for ever. i hope this helps and that everything goes well for you. <3
ReplyI'm currently on the other side of what you're talking about. Please, just listen to them, ask them questions, encourage them, let them have their own pity parties.
