ReplyI'm also a perfectionist and I know how does it feel. Things get complicated and it became hard 'cause we want it to be better, to look perfect and if there's a small mistakes, it seems like you want to redo it again...
It sucks being like this, but you can work through it. Accept when you did a mistake or if something doesn't goes what it suppose to. We're human.
Avoid too much expectation as well.
Idk what to advice but if you really want to change and not be a perfectionist, you can do it.π
Replymaybe try to focus on your internal self talk. notice if its negative all the time and if that's what drives your perfectionism. if it is, once every day - or it doesn't even have to be every day, just once in a while - say, write or type at least one thing you love about yourself, and one thing you're content with <3
ReplyBy letting yourself fail few times. Then you realize βhey its not bad as i expected!β
Replylet things go. start with the little things, like not cleaning your room. then show up late to a meeting or something. fail so that you start becoming immune to failure. don't do things perfectly so that you lose the anxiety around imperfection. have fun :)
