Whether you like any of them or not, one of these people will be elected. So, I guess figure which you dislike the least. If people who don’t vote due to the same reason hold similar general beliefs and are of a similar type group (which is more likely?), there preferences will be excluded. It is especially bad for young people like yourself who will constitute the future. Forcing yourself to vote for someone when you come of age means your voice will be heard to the extent allowed even though it may not be how you fully want it to, it is still something.

PS I am not experienced in this topic in terms of research and I wrote what I personally felt made sense but I may be wrong.

ReplyIf you don't vote, you have zero influence over who gets elected. Meaning the chances of the candidate you want in office less winning are barely higher than they were before
