You will never convince me it's not. Too many times in my life, someone has tried to tell me what I'm thinking based on how I'm standing or moving, and they've been wrong. Me standing with my arms across my chest doesn't mean I'm in a "closed off" position, it means that I'm cold! Slouching doesn't mean I have low self esteem, it means I have scoliosis! It's bizarre how badly people want to be in other people's heads that they project their emotions onto people based on how their body moves. Screw off, the lot of you. The only "body language" you can read of mine and truly be right is an upraised middle finger. "Body language." What a crock of Scheisse.

I totally agree, you have to really know someone in order to know their physical tells. I had a phycologist come to my school once and he accused me of being defensive on one of the questions when really he just put a 15 year old in front of a ton of people, I was obviously just nervous. I wasn't "keeping a secret", I was scared of being judged. He was so weird, if he were really so good at reading people he should have figured out that the whole student body was incredibly annoyed by his bs.
