i read an article saying calcium supplements may help. wishing you well x
ReplyIn moderation. Too much calcium, over time, can create kidney stone and other discomfort. Recommend dark chocolate, not white/milk chocolate :)
Replyyour period makes your emotions go crazy, so its way worse when you already have depression. birth control to get rid of your period all the way works for some girls, but for me it made it worse, i'd try getting on the pill if you're willing
Replybut the thing is though I am on a hormone based birth control. Im not taking it so I cant get pregnant i have pcos. it helps only with my hormone balance
Replythere might be a different prescription you can try. sometimes the pill is a major factor in your emotions, the hormones and all. i'd say there's a good chance you feel this way just because of the pill. maybe talk to your gyno about it?
ReplyIt is normal, it's hormones. One thing to do is to realize it's going to happen and let it. Plan a day of rest and as little stress as possible. Make a point of not thinking about anything 'big' or making plans when you're depressed. Don't think about the future. Just get through the day and don't expect more of yourself. Being depressed is just another state of being and it will pass. Don't hold on to it.
ReplyMany people experience issues with emotional regulation during their period. Mestrual complete (medication) helps some people with it, it can usually be bought over-the-counter. As comforting as it seems, i've also heard that eating super sugary treats can worsen your mood too, but maybe that just depends on the person. Exercising if you can tolerate it can help as well, and reducing the pain from cramps and tenderness can help, since being in pain can make you very grumpy. Methods like applying heat to your pelvic area, gentle massaging of the pelvic area, taking a painkiller, soaking in a bath, and doing yoga can all help with period pain. I'm sorry that you're having trouble right now, but I hope everything will be okay.
