My mom just recently hit her head. My dad was dragging her across the floor then she hit her head at the corner of a wall. My dad left her there crying and I came over to her. She said her head rattled and hurt. I’m scared something might have happened because she was crying and my dad didn’t even say anything her just left her there. I know hitting your head can be bad but are there any signs something might have happened? Should she take anything? Pl es de please help!! I’m truly worried because I live my mother very much.

So there’s this boy...
We agreed on a friend with benefit situation so that way neither of us are committed and have to deal with that part because we both just got our hearts broken....

Love
I know that I'm not in your heart And you don't have hope in me I came for you, i want your world. I found your heart running away....
First Aid: #1 call the police and get that jackass locked up. Seriously please do that now. #2 get her to a hospital, if you can't drive then call an ambulance. Concussions are SERIOUS and unless treated immediately the damage can be permanent. It's like her brain is literally bruised, could be swelling. If she's in pain I think it's safe to give her ibuprofen (that's what they gave me at the hospital after a car crash) but really she needs to be looked at by a real doctor. GET THAT A-HOLE LOCKED UP. Take pictures or video of your mother for evidence. Even take video of the A-HOLE and ask him what happened on camera. Evidence. Please don't become the next news headline about a psycho who kills his family.
ReplyThere is alot here that needs to be done, although, this can be very difficult for you and mum right now.
First of all, she will need to go to A&E, or the emergency room if she is showing signs of concussion, or if she is prescribed blood thinning medication, or there has been a change in her behaviour. Call an ambulance if she is unconscious, seizing (having a fit), clear fluids coming from the ears or nose, significant bleeding, numbness or loss of sensation, or if you can't get to A&E safely.
Secondly, NO person on this planet has the right to lay there hands on another, it may seem hard or impossible right now, but it sounds like that you and mum need help, you should report this asap if you can, this could have ended a lot differently, and we don't want this to happen again. You can access support online, or you can report this to the police. I would send you some links, but I don't know if you are UK based.
In the meantime, keep clear of dad, and don't do anything to put yourself in harms way. But please, if you can, it is so important to seek help asap by calling the police, or helpline, or accessing online support.
I am not a Doctor, but I am a Student nurse, and can continue to help if needed.
