"Was it worth it?" asked a cloaked figure, not entirely sure where he's trying to go from here.
"The whole thing?" I asked back.
"You chased the sun, do you remember? and was it worth it?" He gets closer in the most passive form. The way he stares at my nose reminds me of how my father would give me engaging questions. The sense of kindness is pure, irrefutable, and it's peaceful.
"Well," I replied. "I had to be impermanent in every state, that in every chance I could be myself — I refused it.". I couldn't bear the abyss behind this figure, so I looked down while trying to find the most accurate words. "To everyone, to those who I supposed to embrace, to those who I supposed to eradicate."
"So it wasn't worth it?"
"It was, in some sense. But magnificently against my nature when I compare it to everything."
This time he asked with a moderately different tone, "What did you learn?"
"Nothing in particular."
