A Call for Help in the Home

An open letter para sa mga miyembro ng pamilya na kung umasta ay prinsipe't prinsesa, anak mayaman, hindi naman marunong tumulong sa gawaing bahay.

I am not complaining. Although it may come off as if I am. As a Christian I am trained to be meek and humble, and to endure suffering patiently; but I believe I am also called to be salt and light, be a good example and to rebuke when I see something wrong, always speaking the truth in love.

Mga brad, twenty plus kopong kopong century na, wala parin ba sa inyong marunong tumulong sa gawaing bahay?

Bago niyo ko pag-isipan ng puro masama, this is just an outpouring for my cry out for HELP. "TULONG NAMAN DYAN!" You go on treating your mom and your sisters like maids who cook your meals, wash your dishes for you, wash your clothes for you, hang them to dry, fold them neatly and return them to your closets for you, neatly stack up your messy shoes, pick up your soiled clothes wherever you threw them, make your bed; shouldn't we all, at least as members of one household, work together for the betterness of our home? You place much value in looking good & wearing your best (take note: clean) outfits, put on your make-up, paired with your best shoes when at home your soiled clothes are on the floor, your shoes are strewn in every corner, and all your things are a mess? Porket wala namang makakakita? Wag ganun!

First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean. (Matthew 23:26)

This is not about organisation or being "OC" but about cooperation. Sana marunong tumulong at makiisa, and not make those around you feel like they are alone.

Nagtimpla ka na ba ng kape para sa tatay mong kagagaling lang sa trabaho? Nagwalis ka na ba dahil alam mong pagod na ung nanay mo? Serving is an act of thanks.

Well, hindi ko na kayang pahabain pa to (hello, marami pa akong gagawin), I will just end with this:

I am not looking for a perfect home nor a spotless house because there is no such thing; what I am looking for is family acting like family.

☑Omg ang baho! - linisin mo ung madumi.

☑You come home from wherever - put your shoes on the rack. ...and many other little things.

You're not just doing it for yourself, you're doing it as a service to your family. Because that's what families do, they serve and love one another with action and truth. Hindi ka man marunong magsabi ng "I love you", you love by doing your part and showing your gratitude.

So whoever you are, I hope you heed this call for help. Tumulong kayo sa mga bahay niyo, hindi lagi puro FB or puro gala sa gabi. Ika nga ni Pres. Duterte, "change is coming!"👊 Sana sa loob ng bahay may pagbabago din.

As one household, let us serve the Lord by serving each other. "But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD." (Joshua 24:15)
