What if these emotions are just excuses? What if im just faking everything im feeling? People around me suffer and struggle much more than me and yet im like this. Am i just victimizing myself?

My Unsent Letter
To the people in my school/grade, Why am I not enough for you, or when I am, why put me down? Why can't I have A's as my average? Why can I be me to you all?...
This is a thing referred to as "self-gaslighting" in which people invalidate their own feelings and try to convince themselves they don't have the right or reason to feel the way they do. Your emotions are valid, and if you don't think you're okay, then you're not. You know that best. We don't always need to have a reason to feel the way we do. Everyone experiences emotions differently and just because you're not going through something someone else is doesn't mean that you can't feel sad or bad at what you're going through. Emotions are not a competition after all, and you're not victimizing yourself, you are human.
Also, I once heard someone say that if we ask ourselves "am I faking it?" then the answer is no because if we were, we wouldn't be asking ourselves that. I hope you find solace.
ReplyEveryone has their own story. No ones struggles should be compared or competed with. You're allowed to feel the way you do.
ReplyIt's completely ok, everyone has his own problems and it's own little victories, falls. Every one of us is living being. While there is love for each other there is hope and help and vice versa.
Good luck!
