I love the feeling of me waking up in the morning with a flat tummy. I love it when I don't eat but I notice that I tend to have mood swings once I don't eat. I lost 7kg but it looks like nothing changed in my body. I still look fat, why is that? What do I do? My weight and my family says I'm already thin but I see myself fat. Help me please. I can't consult a doctor because my mom says it's unnecessary. What do I do?

I can't seem to move forward
I need an advice. What do you guys do when you feel like existing is becoming a struggle? I feel like I am stuck, and I can't get out of my negative thoughts...
SO you're trying to improve yourself. Your family says you already look thin, but you cant see that. I think the reason for that is because you're so used to seeing yourself everyday in the mirror that you see things other people don't. Trust other people's perspective other than yours because you can't see yourself how others see you. Just keep doing your exercise routine however you have scheduled
ok? But don't overwork yourself. Maybe don't look yourself in the mirror because if you do that, then maybe you'll be seeing nothing but the same you. Other people notice changes except for you though, so don't worry. You're doing a good job and keep up the good work.

ReplyThis sounds like body dysmorphia, and a potential eating disorder.
I’ve struggled with both.
Stomachs aren’t supposed to be flat. Even on healthy people with perfect abs, they’re not supposed to be flat. Flat means dehydrated, empty, unhealthy. Cover up mirrors and wear baggy clothing if you have to, just stop trying to have a flat stomach - believe me, it’s not going to go well. If you keep chasing this goal, the goal will keep moving and you’ll keep focussing on every imperfection until there’s nothing left of you.
Drink lots of water. Appreciate your body, it’s softness, the things it does for you. Eat. Don’t look at yourself if you’re unable to do so without criticising. Don’t look at how other peoples clothes fit them. Find other things to spend your time doing.
Also, not trying to scare you but (from experience) here’s what’ll happen if you continue with your current unhealthy mindset. Your hair and eyebrows may start to fall out. You’ll feel cold all the time. You’ll be hungry too, but you won’t notice, it’ll just be a background ache. Your body hair will grow in thickly as your body tries to survive. You’ll keep checking mirrors and sucking your stomach in a little bit more, just a little bit more and then it’ll be perfect. You’ll get mood swings and feel faint, dizzy and tense. You’ll even feel ashamed of the few ‘safe’ foods, and start seeing half a carrot as a meal.
It will never be enough.
Recovery can be difficult, but if you start now it’ll be so much easier. I believe in you
