so my mom has been wanting me to go to these classes where you could learn about god and what he sacrificed for us. but i don't believe in that stuff although i do respect it. but since my sisters have gone to mass she wants me to follow the "tradition" she says that god will heal me? i have told her several times that i don't want to study about god but she doesn't care about my opinion. Im just gonna accept that i am being forced to study something i don't believe in. i can't escape it she is my mother after all.

It seems that your mother is a catholic because your sisters go to mass. The catholic church is a large wealthy business that is based on their own weird version of religion. A lot of things that catholics believe aren't in the Bible. They are made up by popes. Here are some of the things that they believe in that are definitely not in the Bible: Praying to the Virgin Mary, having statues in churches, and praying to statues, confirmation, benediction, priests should be pedophiles, nuns should be married to Christ, Holding a mass for the Virgin Mary's birthday especially as her birthday isn't recorded anywhere. Touch or kiss a wooden cross, feed people wafers and wine, pray the rosary which means using beads to say the same prayer over and over to the Virgin Mary, pray to saints, purgatory and limbo, treasury of merit, and mortal and venial sins. All of these things have been made up by popes. Take my advice and do a Bible study on line or with someone who knows the Bible and is not a catholic. While you study come to know God and build a relationship with Him. Then later Jesus should come to you and when he leaves he will leave The Holy Spirit with you, and God will answer your prayers. Please explain to your mother what the catholic church is about.
