TW : I'm not a doctor. I am not certain about everything but it's just my studies over Neurology
Amygdala
It's a part of your brain that regulates emotions and processes memories and apparently without it you can sense fear, the removal of it is used as a last resort to some behavioral disorders. Ones that have like, Violent outbursts and stuff. It's been tested on animals and without the amygdala the animals cannot sense fear. However, on humans, based on the websites, some claim it does not remove fear and some websites say it does. I think it just makes you kind of emotionless, like you would get angry maybe?
The removal of the Amygdala is called Amygdalotomy, also the Amygdala is located in the medial temporal lobe
Hippocampus
I know this part holds your memories, without it, you can't make new memories ( as matter of fact remember your old memories. I know this from a website which told a story about a child, a boy who wanted to get rid of it after he got hurt because he thought it would remove his emotions or something like that, and it ended up removing his memories entirely. For instance, He would have eaten multiple breakfasts and lunches if no one stopped him, like… His appetite has no memory. He probably could have remembered the path to the bathroom just enough to go, but he'll have to be told again later.
Frontal lobe
I know the frontal lobe is responsible for memory, emotions, impulse control, problem solving, social interaction, and motor function, and you guessed it! The frontal lobe is directly behind the forehead. If your frontal lobe is damaged it will affect your ability to speak. It can lead to something called dysarthria ( which I have absolutely no clue what is, time to figure out- )
So, After some research, I figured out dysarthria is just slurred speech, for instance the muscles you use to speak is paralyzed or damaged or weakened. So they can't control their tongue or voice box. Oh! And you can live without a frontal lobe, But without it you can't speak, form simple thoughts or move.
Temporal lobe
Okay, So this part of your brain controls things like understanding what you hear. It sits behind your ear. So, It is involved in understanding language and learning and remembering verbal information. With your temporal lobe damaged you would have trouble understanding spoken words, I'm not so sure about what happens if it's removed. But there's something called a temporal lobectomy and I think it's where they remove a part of it because it causes seizures for some people, not sure. But I know you could live without a Temporal lobe, but that would of course like anything else have complications, you could not name objects, remember verbal exchanges, or recognize language. Also, this part is shared with many parts of the brain. It's a very important part and I'm sure it will affect and do more than that as well.
By the way! There is one Temporal lobe in each side ( or to be more specific hemisphere. ) of the brain. So about the seizures, while I was studying MTL I figured out what seizures the temporal lobectomy is for, it's simple, Frontal lobe seizures.
Medial Temporal lobe
I'm not sure if Medial temporal lobe and if just temporal lobe are two different things or separate but either way, The Medial Temporal Lobe or MTL includes the hippocampus, amygdala and parahippocampal regions. I already covered what the hippocampus and Amygdala was, but I haven't covered whatever parahippocampal regions are. I'll do that next. According to Vassilis Cutsuridis and Motoharu Yoshida on frontiersin the MTL is crucial for episodic and spatial memory. MTL memory function consists of distinct processes such as encoding, consolidation and retrieval. It is located within the temporal lobe near the forward base of the brain.
OH!! Fact! Did you know that The left side of your brain controls the right side of your body and the right side of your brain controls your left. It's like, they control the opposite!!

I once knew a woman who if anyone upset her would froth at the mouth (like an animal) and attack th e person and I was told this is because of damage to the frontal lobe in her brain. She was supposed to take valium and didn't which caused her to be charged with assault many times. I guess this was because she had no impulse control.
