the sunset will always remind me of you

during the car ride home i couldnt help but realize you’ve changed, which i assume is for the better. but i also realized you didnt just change, you grew away from me. i thought we’d do practically everything together and experience new things together like we promised, but it seems like you’d rather do that with your new best friend. i know she doesnt like me. she only pretends to because you and i are cousins. they say blood is thicker than water, but it seems like there is no blood. it often feels like you force yourself to include me sometimes. i hope you’re happy and satisfied with just her, because soon ill be gone. who knows how much youll miss me. ill move on with my time. if the universe thinks we should meet again; we will. i just cant take it anymore. ive never been good enough for anyone, so ill just work with myself from now on no matter how hard it is to let you go.
