So I'm in grade 8, and of course, it's my last year at a school I've been to for 10 years. Now what they did was take a whole grade 8 class and then 8 kids to be in the other grade 7 class. I'm one of those 8 in the 7 class. For graduation, we can win awards, like valedictorian. the award I really wanted to win, was valedictoeian. now my school gives this award is the grade 8 teacher would write about 4 kids' names down who they think should win, and then all the students will vote, without knowing those names the teacher picked, after reading the votes the teachers pick. I know that I got at least 21 votes out of like 37 kids, but the unfair part is that we don't get treated as grade 8 in my class since we are with grade 7 (or something like that) and they pick three kids in the other class. Three, and they only allow two valedictorians but no they change the rules just for this year so those three can have it.
Now I'm not saying they don't deserve it, it is that the school doesn't give us a chance. They won't even let us help with graduation but "they need the grade 8 class to do it." Also, they pick the drama queen as one too. the girl who if doesn't get her way, hearts other feelings.
The school asks for grade 8's help, my classmates offer No.
They need grade 8's to sell things for the school, my classmate offer, no.
They ask for grade 8's to help with assemblies, and my classmate offered, no
All they ask is the other grade 8 class, why not mix both classes and we can work together, the answer was "No" And guess what no one in the other class wanted to do it, they made them do it. All 8 grade 8's in my class feel left out of a school and are treated as younger students. It's unfair that we can help or do grade 8 things, just because they said so and make the other class do it.
