What do we think about mental health?
------
Hey all ! I am Ankit
Today I am here to share one of my experience about mental health issue with you all
One of my friends called me oye pagal (MENTAL),After hearing that words there was a silent storm in my mind...I was thinking that is he right ?..yesterday my psychiatrist had told me that you have symptoms of bipolarity (A mental disorder)
Does bipolarity means MENTAL ? ohh yes I remembered that I asked same question to psychiatrist and She said "not at all" very kindly she replied ; Bipolarity refers as a mental disorder which has symptoms like overthinking, headache, sudden change in emotions, tired ness , cut out with society , appetite loss etc Anyone can show this symptoms & can easily recover from this ...
But how ?
My mind was stuck on that perticular words CUT OUT WITH SOCIETY...will society accept my bipolarity ? With whom shall I talk to? Who will understand my situation ?
I come from a middle class family...where psychiatrists consider as a doctor of mental people, so how could I tell them ; I was diving into the thoughts of future. Imagine there was a situation in my surroundings where going on any topic at that moment my observations & my opinion are entirely different from rest of other (if you are from middle class family then you can imagine what will happen)...then people started making assumptions - ohh we can understand you are suffering from any mental disability so you can think only like this . But there is no any matter of being wrong and being right , The matter is how people treats a person who is suffering from mental health...
I was in the ocean suddenly a healing voice awoke me and said hey don't take stress take your medicine.
I was in fear because the same situation was with my mom and that time there was no one for her ...and one thing I decided that Today I will talk to my mom and tell her everything.
Now my friend has come to me & I gave him a smile and asked what happened?
I remembered that lesson which my mom told me that day " YOU ARE A HUMAN"

Consider this.
Thoughts, all of them including these you just shared, come and go. What were you thinking about 26 hours ago? No one knows. The arrival of a thought does not make it automatically meaningful. You intentionally or unknowingly add meaning, significance, an added story, and / or an emotional reaction. You provide the energy that causes the thought to persist. This is so for those that are good and bad, helpful and harmful, wanted and unwanted. A thought that gets no reaction from you soon dissolves back into the nothingness from which it came.
You are not your thoughts. You are the one who can and should decide which of the ones that arrive are worthy of further consideration and maybe some supporting actions. You have a very powerful and often complicated thinking instrument ( the brain / mind ) that needs to be better understood and managed. There are ways to begin doing this. Once you start, you will immediately feel the positive impact but this is a process that will continue in an increasingly less problematic manner for that rest of your life.
I'll say more if you are interested.
ReplyThank you for giving me positive thoughts.. it's my pleasure to have a person like you in my comment box .. thank you so much
