Not sure what is wrong, but everytime I wake up, I always have this feeling of anxious that I could not control. It is the feeling of worry, that happened instantly when you open your eyes, when your brain yet to start thinking of things. It got me confused and I have to do breathing exercises. Is it due to stress? Cause these days I might be worried about pressure in relationship, sometimes might be about changing job that will happen next month (whether I can handle the job and adapt well). I exercise regularly, and I even able to sleep, not having insomnia, but the anxious feeling will haunt me again the next morning, and it even happened during weekend. Really confused if this is normal? I don’t know why it keep happening for 2 months. Is there any way I could reduce this to happen all the time?
Somebody please advise me, thanks.

NEED ADVICE: could i have OCD?
Ok i have never considered that i might be OCD until a couple of days ago when i heard someone talk about their experience and it sounded alot like me so i want...
It's more likely disorientation than anxiety. It happens to me all the time, when I wake up and get up too quickly.
When your eyes open the next time you wake up, don't get up immediately. Take a few seconds lying down to get your bearings (you know, rub your eyes, yawn, curse whoever invented alarm clocks) and then get up.
ReplyConsider this.
Thoughts, all of them including these about you feeling anxious, come and go. What were you thinking about 26 hours ago? No one knows. The arrival of a thought does not make it automatically meaningful. You intentionally or unknowingly add meaning, significance, an added story, and / or an emotional reaction. You provide the energy that causes the thought to persist. This is so for those that are good and bad, helpful and harmful, wanted and unwanted. A thought that gets no reaction from you soon dissolves back into the nothingness from which it came.
You are not your thoughts. You are the one who can and should decide which of the ones that arrive are worthy of further consideration and maybe some supporting actions. You have a very powerful and often complicated thinking instrument ( the brain / mind ) that needs to be better understood and managed. There are ways to begin doing this. Once you start, you will immediately feel the positive impact but this is a process that will continue in an increasingly less problematic manner for that rest of your life.
I'll say more if you are interested.
ReplySo far I understand it well, so I’m willing to hear more. Thanks anyway, somehow it does help me see it in different way.
ReplyUnwanted thoughts will come again and often, initially. You should prepare for the arrival of wanted / preferred thoughts. This is the way to do that. There must be at least 1 thing and, perhaps, as many as 3 things you would like to help make happen in your life. These might be considered as the most important things (events, accomplishments, relationships, etc.) you can imagine for yourself. You need to write a brief summary ( a paragraph or 2)about each one. It should include 1.) what it is, 2.) when it might happen, 3.) how you will feel when it does, and 4.) what steps you are taking (or will take) to helps cause them to occur. Pick one important item and write that summary starting today and plan to complete this task within the next 3 days. It is most important that you start if you are serious about feeling better - less important that you have picked the right item.
When this is done, let me know. I don't need details. Start on the 2nd and 3rd important items if you have them and target to complete each within a week or so.
Keep your summaries close, read them often (several times a day or at least once a day). Edit them as often as necessary to keep them current, clear and concise. I'm sure most of your time during a typical day is used up doing the things we must like eating, sleeping, traveling, studying, working, talking to someone and preparing to do these things. Sometimes unwanted thoughts are in the background trying to get your attention. Its best to pay attention to what you are doing and consider other matters when the time allows. Do your best to stay focused on the task at hand.
Now, when a thought arrives that might move you closer to realizing your dreams (detailed in your 'important' summaries), and your current circumstance allows, pay attention, get excited, use your imagination, learn something and / or do something that might be helpful - that might move you closer to this outcome.
When this is done, you have set the stage for the arrival of wanted, helpful thoughts.
As I said, let me know when this is done and I will suggest a strategy for handing the unwanted thoughts. Good luck and I hope to hear from you soon.
