It took me 40 years to discover that I hate you! I came to your office because Toby palmed me when I bent over at the drinking fountain. The surrounding students laughed and congratulated him on his score.
I expected you to defend me. I expected you to call him to the office. I expected you to suspend him or give him detention. I expected you to reassure me that I was safe in school.
Instead, you turned it back on me and made it my fault. You told me that I needed to be aware of my surroundings and not use the drinking fountain when boys were nearby. You told me, "boys will be boys", so I needed to look out for myself.
You made me believe that boys can molest me in anyway they choose-- even with witnesses-- and they will never be punished. You used such a common phrase to excuse their behavior and flip the blame on me that the phrase became a trigger.
How dare you!
