I am a 20 year old female who lived with her brother who is 44. It's a 4 bedroom house with him, his 30 year old brother I would call K and his 60 year old father. My brother keeps his areas clean. The problems are his brother and his father. His father don't wash his dishes after using them or the stove top when he cooks, same goes for K but at least he does the dishes. K real problem is the bathroom. The house have a masters bathroom in my brothers room and a main one upstairs next to K's room. The bathroom is disgusting since he haven't cleaned it since he moved in with so many stains. The issue is this, my brother want me to clean. As the "woman" of the house I should want my house to be clean. I have to clean both bathrooms, the hall and floors bust be swept and mopped along with the neglected dishes and the grease stained stove and counter. Is it too much to ask grown men over the age of 40 to clean up after them self and is it selfish if I say no?

ReplyThe answer is no you shouldn't clean because you are a woman. They should clean up after themselves. Why don't they want to for themselves. It's for their health and well-being. Or share the chores but each do your bit.
