When you cant have it- it creates irritation.
I.e you want a drink but you ran out and stores are closed.
ReplyHabits are easier to break. Habits are when you do stuff without thinking much about it because you've gotten used to doing it. If you were to abandon a habit it would feel annoying for a while but eventually you'd forget about it. Addictions however will rise a feeling of need in you and will trouble you much more. For instance an evening beer might be a habit and if you were to cut it it wouldn't be much different from trying to cut dessert after dinner. You'll want it, you'll need it but the lack of it won't make you as irrational as addiction would make you.
It's also good to keep in mind that habits can also turn into addiction. In short, the severity of the struggle you'll get by quitting should be able to give you an idea
ReplyIf its an everyday absolutely have to have, can't go with out it a single day or you get withdrawals, agitation , irritability, shakiness, etc, that's when you know you have a problem. Unfortunately I know because I have drug addicts and alcoholics on both sides of my family. If its once twice a week or so then there's no problem. Its everyday usage that becomes an addiction.
