How do I put into words how much your presence means to me?

How do I express how much I crave to get back and tell you about my day?

How do I come up with the words to say,

To describe this feeling of unimaginable glee?

Even in hell, there is heaven,

And you are that for me.

Amidst this world of chaos,

You are my island of peace.

An island I would love to stay on.

Even through the fog that is my mind,

And when the rest of my life is going poorly, I can see you.

Just the thought of you is enough to get me through the day.

My senses can easily reach out to you.

Soft brown skin that I long to touch,

With plump lips that entice me.

Eyes, like vats of chocolate, melt me with their gaze.

You walk by and I catch a hint of vanilla,

Just enough to make me weak in the knees.

An imprint of you is left on my brain.

A shadow that constantly roams my mind,

Whispering to me in a voice that is so gentle and kind.

How do I describe how much I love you?

I love to talk to you.

You speak your mind even when your voice shakes.

You are unapologetically honest,

And that is one of the many things I admire about you.

Because in this world, honesty isn’t always promised.

You make me feel comfortable.

I have never had someone make me feel this safe,

Someone who made me feel like it was okay to be vulnerable.

I love you for that alone.

I love doing simple things with you,

It is hard for me to imagine a day without you in it.

You manage to take me out of character,

And make me face how I feel.

I want you around as much as time will permit.

When I am spiraling out of control,

You guide me back.

Your advice always gives me the patience I sorely lack.

There is so much that I appreciate you for.

So much I have learned about myself,

Just from being around you.
