Strange Interaction

Im in a club at my college and today I went to a meeting. Todays meeting was a fun relaxed meeting. We started playing a card game. I dont really know these people some I talk to and some I never have. There was this one guy who I never talked to. He was next to me as we are playing cards and we would have small talk about the game as he kept losing because of me. Just joking and laughing but then out of nowhere he asked me if I went swimming. I was confused and said no why? He said your eyes are red and your hair looks wet. I have an eye condition so my eyes can get red at times and I said oh I have an eye condition and also just washed my hair. And then he said you couldve just lied. What does that even mean? My hair is curly and sometimes annoying to manage out of the shower it is a bit frizzy but tbh it wasnt that messy. Idk if he was trying to say my hair looked terrible or if he was genuinely just talking? Seems like such a strange thing to say. The whole time I felt self conscious is it weird to go out with wet hair? Idk couldnt tell if I was getting made fun of or it was just nothing. Or was he talking about my eyes I really dont know this was just weird.
