When something breaks (in the US) it is often easier to replace the item with a new one than it is to pay for the labor to get it fixed. Sometimes, the way the healthcare system is organized, I wonder if this trend extends to the human body too. Seems the insurance companies, healthcare providers, pharmacies, and all the surrounding businesses are out to remind you that you're just another item who's easier to replace than to fix.
