My mother came to visit. As always, she is worried about me. How is Uni going? I am eating well? What about my gf? I do appreciate it, I really do. There is no other person that cares so much for me. It also feels exhausting. After all it is her own need too. She feels relaxed when I am doing fine. She feels stressed when I am not. So, by caring so much about me she actually cares about herself too. That is not bad, don't get me wrong. It could be a win-win thing. Her ways though. Constantly talking, constantly asking questions and that feeling of restlessness. I surely don't want someone to put more stress on me than I already have. Even if they think they are helping. My mum loves me and I love her too!

She sounds lovely but hyper focused on you, which is normal you're her baby and all grown up and at uni now. It's natural for a mother to worry. But she also needs to give you your space, it's normal and healthy to have boundaries and you definitely need to talk to her about how you're feeling. Your relationship with your mother will only be stronger with honest communication.
