And all his family cares about is that he died. They don't even care about his victims who had their belongings stolen. I asked on his "RIP" page if my coworker would be getting her purse back now, and his family all started in about how that was "disrespectful." Well so is stealing purses! People deserve their stuff back, but it's obvious that his family just wants to keep the purses he snatched, because if they were decent human beings, they would be trying to get people's property back to them and disowning the purse snatcher and not caring about him. Such entitlement!

Is it wrong
Is it really wrong that I would rather whoever stole my Carhartt freeze to death, than have them steal my Carhartt? That was mine and it's not like I didn't nee...
You think petty theft deserves the death penalty. Ok good luck
ReplyYou think purse theft is "petty?" Like when it's their phone, their money, their ID, everything? He got himself shot by running with the people he did. I didn't say he "deserved" anything. But if that was my son, I wouldn't love him anymore.
ReplyFunerals are a process and probably the last thing anyone wants is to acknowledge the flaws of the deceased.
It's annoying on your end, as you just want to get your things back and move on with your life, but as much as you dislike waiting, probably let them get the grieving process over with before seeking retribution.
Regardless of his less then great... I don't even know what to call that, hobby?, regardless of what he did, he was still someones son, and had loved ones, and for you to interrupt their grief with your request, is going to come off as insensitive to the family and most onlookers.
Its possible if the family is petty, your coworker might not get her purse back out of spite because you did that.
Either way, as much as it frustrates you, he is a person loved by someone, so wait, and pick a better moment to ask about that.
ReplyLittle weird to value objects as highly as life
ReplyLittle weird to take objects that don't belong to you
ReplyNo....death is not what this person deserved....however......for every action in our lives there are consequences!!!! If you fail to see the coming storm when you live your life in chaos, then the consequences of your actions may be extreme. For those of us who work everyday, take care of our families and live the straight and narrow life without taking from others injustly....our consequences are much less severe.
