I am struggling alot with my weight in past few months I have gained 7 kgs and now I am 70 kgs I am 5'3" ... I started intermittent fasting and today is the 8th day , I have also started to go for long walks for an hour Daily... but everything seems really difficult it feels like I have no life now , I can't have dinner with my family because I am supposed to eat my dinner before 7 and they all have dinner after 9 .... Everytime I open youtube I get tons of different advices like do this and that and so on .. yesterday it was about counting calories and today I started doing it and it is really messed up because now I am feeling guilty from the thought of having lunch at all ... I have only had banana shake since morning and that too I was not at all feeling like I should eat it... Tomorrow is my brother's birthday and I am confused what am I supposed to do ... if I have dinner with my family tomorrow then I'd be breaking my fasting and if I didn't I'll be left alone when everyone is together .... It is really becoming a struggle for me my most of the day is going into the thoughts of when I am supposed to eat , what should be my next meal and what I should and shouldn't be eating .... it is badly affecting my studies, I am unable to focus... there is just too much to be taken care of , every single person is giving different advice, they judge me for my weight and now they judge me for doing fasting .... I don't feel like doing anything at all .. on the top of that I haven't it's 3rd day since I last pooped ... I just want to get back to a healthy weight without compromising my mental health and my ordinary lifestyle what should I do?

the best thing that has worked for me is going low carb only 2 meals a day, apple cider vinegar at night,a smoothie and one meal a day if you can eventually and yes intermittent fasting (excerising before you eat for the day),all the best
Replyyou need to be careful on how you fast because if you aren't it can lead to serious issues. you can eat low carb foods and drink water and just make sure you're taking care of yourself, without taking any your ability to enjoy food. healthy relationships with food are always necessary and I pray only the best for you. I too struggle with my weight but you just have to find something that feels comfortable for you, and not something that could affect your health physically or mentally. I'm so proud of you though for sharing this and asking for help- you are loved an appreciated. all the best from me to you <3
Replydont skip your brothers birthday
ReplyYou have to start heading towards a healthy lifestyle. A 'diet' won't work for long. You probably already know the things you 'should' be doing, like eating 8 servings of veggies and fruit, a cup of leafy greens, 20 minutes of exercise, etc... Start with doing ONE positive thing a week. I like to start on Mondays, and I just concentrate on that. Keep doing all the other things you do and don't be mad at yourself. So on the first Monday you can say 'I'm going to try to eat greens at least once a day'. Then figure out how you're going to do it, have recipes planned, etc. Then the next week say, ok, now i'm going to eat at least 2 different vegetables at each meal and keep eating the greens at least once a day. Sometimes it will take more than a week to get the habit so you might say 'this week i'm going to keep trying to do XXX'. Some Mondays say 'i'm going to spend 10 minutes stretching every day'. Keep coming up with little habits that are good for you and eventually you will have a lot and will start leading a healthy lifestyle. It will take a while, it took you a while to put the weight on. It's a lot easier to add things and be positive than to deprive yourself. Eventually you will find that you're eating better and living a healthy lifestyle. But remember, you're going to have to keep tweeking your diet and exercise forever. Sometimes you'll slip into bad habits and you just have to slip back. It also helps to be prepared. Have a list of recipes you can easily make. Have quick fall back food (like oatmeal). I like to cook on Sundays and freeze meals in individual servings so I can just pull stuff out and eat when I'm busy.
